What is
MBS Feldenkrais
MBS Feldenkrais (Mind Body Studies Feldenkrais) is an advanced version of the classic Feldenkrais Method, refined by Mia Segal (1934–2025) and her long-time research partner Dr. Moti Nativ. It preserves the original principles of Moshe Feldenkrais but places a special emphasis on effectiveness, clarity, and practical applicability in daily life.
Through precise movement lessons – both in group sessions (Awareness Through Movement, ATM) and individual work (Functional Integration, FI) – MBS Feldenkrais helps people improve their mobility, release chronic tensions, and enhance their physical and mental well-being.
Mia Segal – The Pioneer of MBS Feldenkrais
Moshe Feldenkrais + Mia Segal
Mia Segal was the first and closest assistant of Moshe Feldenkrais and played a key role in developing and spreading his method. Over several decades, she taught Feldenkrais worldwide, working with musicians, dancers, athletes, and people with physical challenges, and she shaped generations of practitioners.
With MBS Feldenkrais, she continued her work to make the method more accessible, effective, and applicable to various aspects of life. Her deep understanding of movement, learning, and human development lives on in this work.
